the 70th post! (:
anyway, Xin Ting here.

My Personal Recount:

I was on my way home after sending my mum and her friends to Malaysia for a short holiday. As I was restless after waking up early in the morning and waiting impatiently for the cars at customs to clear off, I wanted to get back early to have a good nap. I then stepped on the pedal to increase my speed to 80km/h.
As I traveled along Yishun Avenue 1 towards the Seletar Club Road, I saw a new but wrecked Mazda RX-8 lying at the side of a hill.
Quickly, I got out of my car and reported the accident. It was pretty shocking to see a new and polished car being damaged so I took a photo and send it to STOMP .
It was indeed fortunate for the four men in the car as they cheated death and only suffered cuts and minor injuries. After this incident, I found out that the actual cause for this accident is due to speeding. Now thinking back, if not for this incident that woke me up, I would be either lying in the hospital or the coffin now!

Lets put my shoes into mr nicholas tan Fan Yeong.......

It was a hot and humid afternoon and I was on the usual way to go home:Yishun Ave 1 when a Mazda RX-8 had flipped over the guardrail!!! It was quite a bad scence as there was a wreckage of the car that had crashed. I took out my handphone and took a picture of the car wreckage. Then I sent it to STOMP and i didn't know that it had been on the headlines tomomorow.

I feel that we,as Singaporeans, should have road safety exercises to prevent such things to happened and if you are drunk, you should not go driving or you can take a taxi back home.Although it may be quite costly but if you are careless, you may also give your life to the shinigami(Death God) and it will not be worth it.

Ok, this is the end of my recount and i am Wee Kiat

Hi Mrs Tan,i am helping kai chun to post his personal recount on this class blog as i think that he was not invited.

It was a hot and humid day, while i was driving on my way home along Yishun avenue 1,a Mazda RX-8 speeding. To my horror, the almost new Mazda flipped over a guardrail and up the side of the hill.Immediately,i took a photo of the wrecked car.Fortunately, the driver and three passengers were managed to escape from the wrecked car with minor injuries. These days many young drivers had lost their lives due to accidents.I hoped young drivers would think of the consequences when they trying to act cool by speeding on the road.It is a sad things when a people died in a very young age.

What a exhausting day i have! After a day of stressful work at my office,i headed for my home.On the way back, whereby i was on the road of Yishun Avenue 1 towards Seletar Club Road,i saw a badly damaged car! It was a quite new Mazda RX-8 and i felt bad to see this kind of tragic scene, but luckily all the four young people managed to escape from the hand of death. What had causes the car to met with this accident is that it had flipped over a guardrail and up the side of a hill.Nowadays, many young people had themselves involved in car accidents and some had also give up their lives in it.I hoped to give advices to not only the young peoples but also other drivers to be extremely careful when driving and no matter what,do not drive when you are drunk and even if you are not drunk but had also consume some alcoholic drinks, you should also not drive.I also wish that the amount of such cases could be reduce as compared to the previous years. :)

It was finally the time to go home after a tired day at work, I happily went to the carpark to get my car. I was so happy because I does not have any work that is needed to be done at home as what I usually have. I was driving across Yishun Avenue 1, when a blue Mazda RX-8 car which looks very new caught my sight. It is almost the dream car of mine. It flipped over a guardrail and up the side of a hill! It is very badly crashed. The four victims which is in their early 20s survived in the crashed and was sent to Changi General Hospital consciously. I took a picture of the badly damaged car and sent to STOMP. I hope all the people who saw this picture in the newspaper could abide all safety rules when driving, think of your family, relatives and friends, be considerate, safety always come first!

I was on my way home after a dreadful day at work. I was travelling along Yishun Avenue 1 towards Seletar Club. The traffic was heavy and my car could hardly move. Out of curosity, I looked out of the window to catch a glimpse of what was happening. To my astonishment, an almost-new Mazda RX-8 was a mangled wreck. Four young men inside the car, escaped from it with cuts and minor injuries to their faces and shoulders. The almost-new Mazda flipped over a guardrail and up the side of a hill. After a few minutes, the ambulance arrived and sent the injured men, conscious, to Changi General Hospital. After the everything had been settled, things were resumed and the traffic started moving. I hoped that such accidents will not happen again in future.^_^

I was on my way home after a tiresome shift at my office, where I work as a clerk,as I had just finished a 2000-word assignment my boss had given me. Along the road of Yishun Avenue 1 towards Seletar Club Road, something blue had caught my eye. When I glanced at it, I realized that a blue Mazda RX-8 had flipped over a guardrail and up the side of a hill.

Out of curiosity,I immediately stopped my car and went to observe the car.I also realized that the car looked almost new! I immediately whipped out my mobile phone and snapped pictures of the horrible car wreck and sent it to The Straits Time portal Stomp.Later on,I learnt that the impact of the car against the hill had triggered the airbags in the car and the fatal accident
had caused 5 deaths and 4 men had been lucky enough to escape with cuts and minor injuries to their faces and shoulders. The injured men were then taken to the Changi General Hospital.

According to statistics,in the past 2 years,29 drivers had lost their lives in accidents and 9 of them were under 30.
I feel that we should be more careful when we drive on the roads of Singapore. Not only must we be aware of our surroundings when we drive,we must also ensure everyone in the car buckles up their seatbelt just in case something unfortunate happens.

When i was driving on my way home after my half-day work's yesterday,I came across this accident at Yishun Avenue 1.I was shocked by the scene.A badly-damaged Mazda was stopping on the pavement.Four injured men were lying 10 metres away from the car.I quickly took up my camera which was beside me,captured this scene.

It was a car with four young people inside,They flew off the road in a spectacular crash ,i remembered it was the third serious accident here in less than a month. What a horror! There are five deaths at the previous accident. However, this four in yesterdays crash escaped from the wrecked Mazda RX-8. The police said that they were only having cuts and minor injuries to their faces and shoulders . These men are all teenagers below 20. They were drving along Yishun Avenue 1 towards Seletar Club Road around 1 pm when the Mazda, which was almost-new,flipped over a guardrail and up the side of a hill. I remembered the police said the impact triggered the airbags on both the drivers and front passengers side . The injured men had sent to Changi General Hospital . While he was still conscious. The Mazda RX-8 was a mangled wreck. I sent this picture of the totally damaged car to the The Straits Times portal stomp. The traffic police statistics show that there were 29 car drivers lost their lives in the past two years and among these 29, 9 of them were under 30. I was shocked while heard this news. Nowadays many young drivers get into non-fatal accidents in 2006.
I hope all the drivers should drive careful on the road. Safety in the first place. Do not talk on a cell phone or drunk while driving.
I am a driver too so i think we should think about ourselves and others who are using the road. These four men were lucky but it would not be that lucky everytime. Therefore, accidents and tragic may happen at anytime.

I was on my way home from work that day when I witnessed an accident that happened so quickly. I was so shocked when the whole thing just happen and ended within seconds.
Luckily the passenger in the car survived with some cuts and some minor injury. But the car was totally thrashed. Then I called the police and the ambulance and took a piture of the car so that I can sent it to the STRAIGHTS TIME to let people see what will happen to them if they are not careful.
I feel that we must all be careful when driving or else the people who are also in the car may also die because of you . Much more importantly, those drivers under the age of 30 should be more careful as out of 1283 drivers, 250 are below the age of 30.

hot title:A Personal Recount-Putting Myself In The Shoes Of Mr Nicholas Fanyeong(☠JINGYU-12❤HUIMIN-40 ツ)

After a weary day slaving myself away at the office,i was totally beat and was dreading the long drive home.I flung myself onto the front seat of the car, revved up the engine and drove off from the office.Every second felt like a minute and every minute felt like an hour when i ultimately drove into Yishun Avenue 1,past another street and i would be back in the comfort of my own retreat!I thought about how i was going to just slump into my mattress back at home and doze off when suddenly, the mass of a crowd caught my eye.I immediately rocked to my senses and the overpowering surge of curiosity got the better of me.

I stopped my car beside a curb, just a few metres away from the scene and after getting out of the car, made my way towards the source of the commotion.I was flabbergasted by what i witnessed; The bonnet of the car was dented upwards, the door of the car was flung right open and the body of the car was badly crushed.I fished out my mobile phone from my pocket and quickly snapped a picture of the decrepit Mazda RX-8.

As i was not quite sure of the situation,i approached an elderly lady and questioned her about the whole accident, she did not hesitate to cite about the whole thing. The accident went like this;four men,all in their early 20s,were travelling along Yishun Avenue 1 towards the Seletar Club Road around 1pm when the almost-new Mazda flipped over a guardrail and up the side of a hill. The impact had triggered airbags on both the driver's and the front passenger's side.Luckily for the men, they only sustained few cuts and minor injuries to their faces and shoulders, and were later sent, still conscious,to Changi General Hospital.

I was aghast by what she told me.

Later that day, checking back on the accounts of car accidents that had occured over the past two years, traffic police statistics show that 29 car drivers have lost their lives on the roads in the past two years and nine of them were under 30!Many more young drivers got into the category of non-fatal accidents. In the year 2006,out of 1,283 drivers who were injured,250 drivers were under the age of 30.

In my opinion, the road poses as much of a danger threat as any death hazzard. We should be conscious of road safety at all times, regardless of whether we are driving, crossing the road as a pedestrian,or being a pillon rider at the back of someone's motorcycle, safety always comes first and we should always abide by the road safety rules.

I was on my way home after my night shift as a security guard was over. I was eager to get home, have a shower and a nice nap. Suddenly, when i drove into Yishun Avenue 1, I saw some cars parked illegally at the side of the road, with many people crowding around something on the pavement. Being a curious person, I myself also also parked at the side of the road and went up to see what the commotion was all about.
To my horror, I saw a Mazda RX-8 which was damaged beyond recognition, lying on the pavement. I was told that four young men travelling towards Seletar Club Road at about 1pm in their Mazda when suddenly, the car flipped over a guardrail. Fortunately, the four men only suffered minor injuries. They were later sent to Changi General Hospital for treatment. I quickly snapped a picture of the damaged car.
I feel that we ought to observe safty rules on driving , such as no drunk driving or speeding, especially young people below the the age of thirty.

I was just walking back home from work, when I saw the most horrible thing I have ever seen in my entire life: a totally crushed, badly damaged Mazda RX-8. An extremely serious accident took place this afternoon just after I finished work. I heard from other people who witnessed the accident that the young male victims practically flew off the road in a spectacular crash. That car was a beauty. It was new, too. But it was so horrifically damaged after the accident, it never crossed my mind that the car was new. The Straits Times interviewed the young victims, (now healing their injuries in Changi General Hospital) who were in the car during the accident, and found out that the car was actually new. They were glad enough to give me details of the car, as I gave them the information they needed to write a news report on it. Thank God nobody died. I managed to swipe a picture of the mangled car, and they asked for that picture too. Why in the world do reporters have to poke their noses into everything? I just cannot stand reporters. Anyway, I feel that people should not go around speeding. It seems to me as if they do not care, not even a tiny little bit, about their lives. I really hope more people will wake up, and not speed. I think they do it for fun. But is fun more important than your life? I do not think so.

I was listening to the soft and melodious music playing on the radio broadcast. It was a hard day at work and I drove home merrily as I thought of the warmth and peace at home. I was travelling along Yishun Avenue 1 towards Seletar Club Road when I witnessed a car accident.

Apparently, the blue Mazda RX-8 skidded off the road, flipped over a guardrail and up the side of a hill. I was appalled and stunned as the car was an awful wreck. Also, the impact of the crash might have caused severe injuries or worse still, even death. Judging from its shiny appearance, I concluded that the car was quite new. Without hesitation, I pulled out my mobile phone to call the ambulance. Following that, I took some photos of the mangled Mazda and I sent them to The Straits Times to let people know of the accident.

I later learnt that miraculously, the accident did not result in deaths and the young victims suffered minor injuries despite the great impact.

I think that everyone should be careful on the road, be responsible when you drive. These accidents can be prevented.

The silence of the road shocked me.A fear crept up my back,it was totally silent-too silent for a timid person like me.At yishun avenue 1,it was like there was only me and the lonely street,a never-ending street where i could hear the sounds of only me and the insects around the bushes.

This was popularly seen by me everyday, but the sense of lonely remains.Suddenly, there was one-yes,only one car moving from the other side of the junction towards me.It was the Mazda RX-8 i have been hunting for for years(my car is too old).I was immediately attracted to the car as it passed by me.It looked brand new,no scratches at all,and at the next red light, we met on the same road(it U-turned).After the traffic light, mopre cars joined this road but i took no notice of any uninteresting cars.Out of a sudden, after we drived for sometime,I had somewhat the 'worse' shock of my life. The mazda flipped over a guardrail and 'flown' up the hill.Somehow my dream car was able to 'fly' and i had to take this amazing photo-for myself and other USEFUL uses.Luckily no one was injured in this 'flying' incident which was considered'damn lucky'...

The picture was quite useful for i was famous after a night with the photo!I posted on portal stomp and they posted on the strait times. So i was a good example of being famous after a night!I might not be able to buy my dream car, but it sure helped me accomplish one of my dreams-to be famous.

It thought all drivers(including me) to value life and drive with care.Don't drink and drive.Be as safe as possible!

I sent it to STOMP! so that it can publish it on the newspaper.Ths accident happened in Yishun avenue 1 heading to seletar club. The police, knowing that I was the one who send the photo, went to interview me. I told them everything I knew about the accident.
The next day, I saw that the picture had appeared in the headlines. I was surprised. I was famous!! So I hoped that I could send more useful pictures to the press and most importantly, hope that less accidents will not happen!!!!!

I was driving home from my workplace after an exhausting day of work. Whistling cheerily to myself, I looked at the soothing scenery all around me. Singapore is indeed a 'Garden City'. When I was approaching Yishun Avenue 1 towards the Seletar Club Road, something caught my eye as a crowd of people was surrounding something.
Almost immediately, I pulled my car to the side and saw what happened. A Mazda RX-8 had flipped over a guardrail and up the side of a hill! From its smooth surface,I knew that it was pretty new before it met with this car crash. Now, I could only say that its badly smashed. The four victims are in their early twenties and had luckily survived from the car crash with only cuts and minor injuries to their faces.
I pulled out my mobile phone to take a picture of the mangled wreck and sent it to the Straits Time Online Portal(STOMP). I did not expect it to turn out in The Straits Time. My real intention was just to show all citizens that how serious a car crash could be. I want to warn everyone to please drive with care. Think about your loved ones and your precious life. I really hope that Singapore could be place of peace and silence, instead of car crashes and accidents.

Dear Mrs Tan, as you all have not added Wee Joon into the blog shared account, i had to help him to post the recount on behalf of him.

The following recount is done by Teo Wee Joon of 1D(34)

On Monday, an accident happened involving a blue mazda car and there were four victims. Fortunate enough, all four victims escaped death but suffered some injuries and cuts. I had taken the photo of the blue Mazda car which was crushed beyond recognition. At my point of view, I thought that these kind of accidents can be avoided and reduce the risk of accidents per year. Because of the carelessness of these drivers, they may put their life or their passengers' life in jeopardy. Accidents can be avoided if the driver does not speed and take note of the safety precautions while driving. For drivers, they should not drive when they drink. In all , I think speeding is dangerous and by abiding the rules and safety precautions, such accidents like this accident can be avoided.

Pls take note. Thxs.

Then,I decided to sent this photo to the Straits Time to wait for the report and maybe some police spokesman report. Then,I read the article this morning. For god's sake the report was on headlines!I concentrated on reading reports about what police has to say.I then founded that there were so many cases about car accidents and mostly to those under 30.

I lived with my old mother at Seletar area. After a late night work at the The Straits Times publication, I packed up and headed for home. I was travelling along Yishun Avenue 1 towards Seletar Club Road around 1 pm when i saw the almost new Mazada flipped over a guard line and up the side of a hill. Four young men in their earliest twenties, had escaped from the wrecked Mazada RX-8 with cuts and minor injuries to their faces and shoulders. The impact triggered airbags on both the driver's and front passenger's side. The injured men were taken, conscious,to Changi General Hospital.
I believed they were lucky that they had escaped from the clutches of death. And they will treasure their lives even more after this accident which nearly cost their precious lives. As traffic police statistics had shown that 29 car drivers have lost their lives on the roads in the past two years and nine of them were under 30. More young drivers get into non-fatal accidents. In 2006, out of 1283 drivers who were injured, 250 drivers were under 30.They died at such a young age, it is such a pity. They should have drive in a more safe way and not endangering their own lives and others as well.
The picture i had send in shows how serious the accident was, and the four young men could have been in a very bad situation at that time when sometimes not even soul is around.
They had learned the lesson in the hard way, so in future we should always drive in safety at all times to prevent accidents from happening.

I certaintly did not expect that my report of the incident and the shot of it which i had took came out in the Straits Times the next day.I felt glad to be of help and i hope that all drivers will drive carefully and would not get into this type of unecessary "trouble".
P.S Mrs.Tan this is jiaxian here.Hope that i do not make too many gramatical error^.^

That day i was on my way home,I witnessed this terrible car accident. The car was heavily damaged after the crash. It happened along Yishun Avenue 1 towards Seletar Club road around 1 p.m.
The Mazda that the driver drove flipped over the guardrail and onto the pavement.the impact was great enough to triggered the airbags on both side of the front seat. The injured men were taken to the hospital, conscious. From the wreckage of the car,you can see how great the impact was.It is fortunate that the four men survived this horrifying accident.
From this accident I can see how reckless these drivers can be these days.It may bring harm to themselves and other road users. It is the responsibility of the drivers to drive safely on the road. So,drivers please drive safely....

I was driving home at 1pm for my afternoon break. As I moved near Yishun Avenue 1 towards Seletar Club Road,I was being held back as I noticed a long queue of cars in front of me.I strained my neck out to see what was going on.I was appalled whenI noticed an almost new Mazda RX-8 flipped over a guardrail and up the side of a hill at around .There were four men who were in their late 20s involved in the car crash.Luckily for them, they all survived the crash with cuts and minor injuries to their faces and shoulders. The car looked badly crushed and was a mangled wreck. The impact had triggered air bags on both the driver's and front passenger's side.I thought that this accident should be brought to attention as it is not the first time such cases had happen,so I took a picture of the car and decided to send it to Stomp. Finally an ambulance came and all the conscious but injured men were taken to Changi General Hospital.
Soon after, the crowd started to disperse and I quickly went home although i did not feel tired anymore as the whole incident had woken me up.

P.S. Mrs Tan this is Joanna here hope my post is not too bad!

hot title:sorry, mrs tan ,this is my new recount...

The day seems to pass slowly as I was impatiently inching my way home in my slow car and desperately trying to swerve my way back to home after a tedious day at work.Nothing seems to attract my attention,as everything looked ordinary like as it was ,in a typical day.My eyelid were so heavy ,I could just fall asleep...Not until I saw something huge shimmering, reflecting strong rays into my eyes.In an attempt to satisfy my curiosity, I squinted and bent my back to find out what it was.To my horror,I spotted a terribly wrecked car, which had, with it,a web of thousand cracks on the windscreen.Almost immediately after my brain grasped hold of this information,I scurried out of my car and tried to see if anyone was inside.Indeed there was inside, four young men ,who was calling for help and trying to get out.I called the ambulance and meanwhile, tried to get them out...
Time seems to be like an eternity, but not until the ambulance and police car appeared vaguely into my sight. The efficient paramedics got out and dragged a stretcher along with them, carried them up the massive vehicle and brought them to the hospital nearby, while the manly policemen queried questions and jotted my particulars down .I took out my phone and managed to capture a picture of it.Then,I've decide to share this to the other readers. To much of my anticipation,it was a cover page news!I was even more shocked when I saw my name mentioned! After all that surprise, though , I think that we should be more vigilant on the road.

I was driving home from my workplace. I was exhausted by the heavy work. While driving along Yishun Avenue 1 towards Seletar Club Road, I was listening to the smooth music that was playing over the radio.

As I was driving across the road, an scene caught my attention. There was many onlookers crowding around an wrecked blue Mazda AX-8. My eyes widened and jaw dropped when I saw the shattered glass and the metal that had been teared apart. The victims had a few cuts on their faces, shoulders and some minor injuries. Grabbing the opportunity, I took a picture of the car with my hand phone. I send the photo to The Strait Times portal Stomp when I reached home.

I was very happy when I knew that my name was posted on the newspaper.

I think young drivers should be careful when they are driving. Do not wait until an accident have happened and then you regret for the whole your life just because of carelessness.

hot title:Let's Put Sean Lim into Mr Nicholas Fanyeong Shoes(Personal recount)

I was waiting at the Bus Stop outside Yishun Avenue 1. The bus stop was sardine packed as it was peak hour and everyone was rushing home to be with their family. I was thinking,'' When will be the bus arriving? I have been waiting here for a LONG TIME!'' Just when I was fustrated and was on the verge of hailing a taxi to go home, I heard a loud screeching sound, followed by a crashing sound.

I was not prepared to see what had happened. An brand new Mazda had just flipped over a guardrail and up the side of a hill. The windscreen of the car was badly smashed and pieces of broken glass were scattered over the road. Some motheres hurriedly covered the eyes of their children from witnessing the horrifying accident.Onlookers were crowding at the spot of the accident

Just at this moment, I thought,'' This accident must be brought to the attention of the Straits Times Interactive Portal (aka STOMP)''. Immediately, I fished out my camera enabled phone. took a photograph of the accident and sent it to STOMP.
Soon, the wailing sounds of the police cars and ambulance sailed down the road. After the authorities had attended to the injured passengers and took down details of the accident, I hailed a taxi and went back home.
In my opinion, Singaporean drivers should be more careful and considerate in their driving behaviour. This is why Singaporean drivers are under the list of '' Countries whom drivers are rude and inconsiderate''. To erase their names from this blacklist, they should take action. Be more considerate on the road. basic eqiuttes like signalling when overtaking, not tailgating, so on so forth. By doing so, Singapore can be a more kind and graceful society.
Sean Lim
P.S Mrs Tan, hope you will enjoy this personal recount of mine!!If it is boring, please tell me.Thank You

"CRASH!" I was jabbing the buttons on my latest Nokia gizmo when i heard the ear-shattering crash. It interuppted the music played by the radio and I turned around to only witness the sight of an overturned dark blue Mazda and 4 people staggering out of the wreakage scene at Yishun Ave 1. The car was crushed beyond recognition and the wreakage was simply unbelieveable! Dazed, i grabbed my N82 and snapped the photos of the accident and sent it to the Straits Time online portal, STOMP.

As a civil citizen, i also informed the Traffic Police, Radio Stations and the Mediacorp News hotline. The survivors thanked me as i gave them precious advice of driving after reporting to the authorities. I learnt that youth drivers are simply irresponsible as they drive recklessly. I learnt a lesson and i hope the survivors did too. I refused to be interviewed by the news agencies as i only wanted to let the driver know that driving recklessly endangers lives, but not to be in the Hall Of Fame in the newspapers. The driver should have learnt the lesson the hard way.

Mrs Tan, i hope it is not too bad nor too good. See ur 2morrow! :)

Cheers,

Mangled escape for four

It was my son's birthday and I was driving home to celebrate his birthday. I was in a very good mood but my expression changed when I saw the commotion up ahead the road."Oh no! Looks like there is a heavy traffic jam on the road!" I mumbled as I drove into Yishun Avenue 1,towards Seletar Club . I was frustrated when I saw the heavy jam.
Soon , I found out that a fatal car accident that taken place along the road.A almost-new Mazda flipped over a guardrail and up the side of a hill.
After a few minutes , the ambulance arrived to the scene and the victims were taken to Changi General Hospital for treatment. The traffic jam slowly eased.I managed to take a picture of the wrecked car as I was driving pass it. The car was badly crushed because of the impact.I send the picture I took to The Straits Times portal STOMP and commented about the fatal accident .

I was cruising down along the long stretch of boring road as I hummed along the music that was playing on the radio, trying to keep myself from falling asleep.I was exhausted from the load of work and by now was dog-tired. This road has been my must-traveled road for ages, as long as I can remember. Thick cloud of dust and noxious fumes polluted the dust as a big truck paced past. Just by the stench of the pungent smell, it could cause me to cough furiously as I wind up the window.

I glided my car to a gentle halt as the traffic light turned bright red. Grabbing this opportunity to rest, I sip some water while thinking of having a relaxing bath. Just as I was deep in my thoughts, roaming my eyes around, a sight caught my attention. There was a huge crowd surrounding the Seletar Club road , some of them pointing while mouthing their words. When the moment I saw those gossipy aunties, curiosity rose upon me.It must be something so interesting that they could gossip about.
I went over as I tried to catch a glimpse of it. I stared in horror as I peered more intently. Mangled wreck of a dark-blue car.....Blood stains..... This was all I could see while I jostled my way through the crowd. Oh my..... The front of the car was a mess of crumpled metal. The Mazda RX-8 turned topsy- turvy, into a gruesome mess. . The top of the metal of the car was teared apart and windows were shattered into smithereens. I cringed as I imagined how much I have to pay for the damaged and the injuries that had to be treated if I were the car owner. It must be causing me an arm and a leg! Anyway, grabbing the opportunity, I immediately took down a picture and sent it to the Strait Times portal STOMP so that people know the latest news about the accident. After that, I dialed for ambulance and went over to help the victims.
As I neared them, a bloody smell wafted through my nose. I spun around and gasped in horror as a unsighted scene greeted me. The victims were groaning as they as tried to grasp hold of car's seat. One of them grimaced in agony, pain etched on his scarlet -red face as he tried desperately to get out of the car. Another guy, in his mid 30s, also went to help the victims. After that, as I'm exhausted, I went home without seeing the victims being sent away to hospital.

I'm very proud that the next day my name was printed at the cover page of the newspaper and the picture that I've took. This would encouraged me to contribute more to the STOMP portal.I'm also very happy that the victims only suffer from minor injuries and was being treated at Changi General Hospital.
From this incident, I hoped that youngsters(including the victims) would learn from this lesson and drive slowly and carefully. I also hoped not repeat are made the same mistake as when you made a mistake by driving carelessly, The "angel of death" may not forgive you. However, luckily for this group of young people, they narrowly escaped from death. Also, witnessing this incident have also made an impact on me to drive carefully and be alert at all times, which meant not to drive when I 'm feeling tired. So, I guessed this would be the last time I drove home while yawning continuously!

P.s-I hoped you enjoy it , Mrs Tan

I felt feverish and decided to return to my home situated in Yishun New Town for some rest. On the way home, i realised that there is a heavy traffic infront. I wanted to make a U-turn but it was too late. By then, there were lots of vehicle behind. I wated patiently for me to get out of the car. I started to relax in my new Mercedes-Benz. The croud started to stop and all the cars were able to move in a slow speed. when i was going near the accident car, i fished out my sony-ericsson K850i 5megapixles handphone to take photographs and send it to reporters. I was appalled to noticed that the car was about to shatter into pieces. i realised the importance and immediately 'mms' the pictures and tell them what had happened to The Straits Times. I also called the radio stationand informed them about the accident. The station then reported about the incident. I hope that the people inside the car are safe.

I was travelling home after a hard day's work. While driving, the soothing ballad was playing over the radio. I was stuck in a heavy traffic jam while driving along Yishun Avenue 1 towards Seletar Club Road. I was frustrated as this jam was taking away my precious time.
However, I soon realised that a serious traffic accident had took place. An almost-new Mazda flipped over a guardrail and up the side of a hill. A few minutes later, the traffic congestion had eased. I sent the picture I had snapped to STOMP and also commented about it. I saw the picture I had snapped as well as my name on the cover page of The Straits Times. It was one of my proudest moments ever and also knew that I had done the right thing.
To end this, I felt that drivers should drive safely by observing traffic rules and also to be more observant and vigilant.

then, out of nowhere, i saw a wrecked car
on the side of the hill. I immediately stopped

Then, I had a thought,"I should take a picture

a picture.I looked at the wreck and noticed injured

"Many youth are really losing their lives because
of traffic reasons. Its such a shame, some of these

After Ee Ching posted her post for her assignment, it occurred to me that some of you gentlemen and ladies do not understand what I say.

However, I must commend that Ee Ching has shown great attitude in being the first to do her assignment on the blog and did a wonderful review.

I wanted you to put yourself in Mr Nicholas Fanyeong's shoes and write a personal recount on what he might have experienced on that day. Ie. You are Mr Nicholas Fanyeong who have witnessed the accident

Eg. A personal recount might go like this:-

I was travelling home after a tiring day at home. While driving, the soothing ballad was playing over the radio. There was a heavy traffic jam and I was getting frustrated. However, soon I realised that there was a serious traffic accident that took place.......(cont'd)

The scorching sun shone mercilessly on the pedestrains. I was travelling home after a tiring day at work. While driving, the soothing ballad was playing over the radio. There was a heavy traffic jam and I was getting frustrated. However, soon I realised that there was a serious traffic accident that took place at the road in Yishun.
A few minutes later, the traffic jam "ended". Then i decided to take a look at the scene. There was a badly damaged car that i could not even recognise the car 's plate and "brand". I took out my phone and took a picture of the wrecked car. I sent the picture to the Straits Times portal Stomp and i commented about the car in the picture. I think that young drivers should be more careful when driving. In order to prevent more young drivers getting themselves into accidents, the government should try changing the age of Singaporeans getting a driving license.

Hello Cool Dees...

Well.. it is a beginning of the week where you will received all the results of your Common Tests. As I have mentioned before, secondary school is extremely different from when you were in primary school... So do not be too hard on yourself if you did not do really well.

Congratulations to those who have fared well in this first of many rounds of tests. =)

To those who did not perform up to your expectation, do not fret. Work harder... Success will come your way sooner with perserverance.

Take the common tests in good spirit as it helps to guide you on your path to good learning.... Without it, you will never know how much you know or whether you have learnt at all. Only with that, remediation action can be taken to move you closer to your academic goals.

Cheers!
