2) Respect all viewpoints. Be polite in your blog entries. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. There is no need to take it personally. It's just a discussion.
3)Show responsiblity for the class blog. Show responsiblity unless you do not want to be part of the Cool Dees. Treat it with respect & give it a little TLC.
4) Proper English is preferred... as this is a learning platform too. This will help the Cool Dees to get better in their writing talent each day.
Any misconduct or misuse will be seriously dealt with and will be struck off from the coveted list of Cool Dees.

I can say with pride that this year has ended with great gusto, with the entire class attaining a 100 per cent pass, so this palpably shows that our class is promoted to Seconday Two Express. But however, I would like to have some comments here:
1. Having a more stabilized system of Humanitites Teachers in our class
This is a very serious problem and hope this can be brought up to the school. Let me show the evidence:

Negative impact: Yes
Literature

Mr Gerald Chua (relief, that means a long period of Literature unstability)
Mdm Samboo(too late;it was after the Mid-year Examinations)

History

Mr Victor Tan (Lecturer)/Mr Niven(in-charge)
Total Change: 2

Although, yes, we admit to the fact that we are lazy at times and other factors that are caused by us, but this constant changing of teachers have also caused subjects instability and thus caused some of our Humanities subjects to plunge. I'm not blaming entirely to the arrangement, the negative impact is indeed also caused by our laziness, indecisiveness, etc, but alas, this is also one of the factors that caused negative impact towards our subjects.
One more point I'd like to bring out is, the estrangment between the two parties of the History component, between Ms Jessie Or and Mr Victor Tan/Lecture-in-charge. I remembered that there is a fact, clearly and obviously stated in her notes. We memorized those facts, and applied them into our tests and major exams. But alas, our answer was incorrect. I would like to bring out: What we applied what we learnt is not what we get! I remebered everyone digested this wrong information and thus getting wrong anwers. Not only our class, other classes that were taught by Ms Or too. Maybe I should drop this point. It is no point arguing over this, maybe is due to our complacency of not checking the History textbook.
But another estrangment that happened recently. What Mr Victor Tan mentions about the topics tested for End-Of-Year does not coordinate with what is tested on the History Paper itself. Chapter 6 was not tested. I know, the school, would say, '' Read the entire History Textbook, lah!'' But do you think it is so easy? History is a subject with heavy content and we would definitely like to be able to focus those topics that are more essential/more highlighted by the teachers/Shown great importance by the teachers. I'm not saying that we are lazy to digest data and etc, but since ''what you say is not what you meant'', why not don't say anything at all? Then, we would not follow the wrong instructions, like in this case, study more/focus more onc ertain topic than the rest. If the teacher did not mention at all what topics are to be tested, we would be studying and mugging the entire textbook. It is definitely a more tedious job, comparing to focussing on certain topics of great importance, but we would rather follow this tedious-but-correct-method, which provides a fair and adequate balance among the topics, than to follow the shortcut, which we can spend more time on important topics, but it is not guaranteed that it would appear in the examination itself. I'm sure everyone would like a safer-but-longer route, rather than a short-easy-but-dangerous way. So teachers, take note. if you would like us to use the shorter route, make sure it is ''guranteed''. If not, please tell us to use the longer but safer route instead.
English Literature has always been one of my favourite subjects. Great and superb writers such as Catherine Lim( Little Ironies-Stories of Singapore, Or Else, The Lightning God and Other Stories, etc), Goh Sin Tub( Honour and other stories, One Singapore trilogy, The Nan-Mei-Su girls of Emerald Hill), Robert Yeo, Osman Wok( apologised for this typo), E.S Nesbit, Phillipa Pearce,Ho Minfong,Low Kay Hua and etc has indeed spiced up the Literature scene. I have found a great interest in books in this Literature World with such brilliant writers. But such constant change in Literature teachers, some which are kinda sub-standard, and also the lousy, not down-to-earth storybook-The Silver Sword, has somehow affected my love for Literarure lessons, but fortuantely, not all Literature teachers are like that, thus the impact is minimal. Besides, in my opinion, I have felt that the goog grades in my English Literarure has indeed motivated me to like English Literarure even more than ever. So, I hope that next year, we would have more permanent,stable and good Literature teachers( Good examples are like Mdm Samboo, Ms Teng, and Ms Fanny See). I'm not saying that we must definitely have these teachers as Literature teachers. The Final Decision still lise with The School, but what I'm showing here is that, I hope there would be good and proper arrangement of teachers, especially in the Humanities subjects. Then, I would believe that, with good arrangement and planning of teachers to teach, and also other factors, such as good English Literature storybook( I'm very impressed of next year's English Literature, and also looking foward to. I'm very fond and impressed by the Literature storybook- 10 stories from Shakespeare by Magaret Nandi and Lisa Tan. Well-loved tales such as Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer's Night Dream, Julius Caeser, Twelfth Night, The Merchant Of Venice, The Tempest, and more.)
So I hope that proper improvements can be made. Then, I believe the school would be a better place to learn

p/p/p/s: (what i think) the font of the class design(below) is abit strange but at least the idea is not bad :) and also i think the contrast needs to be edited and if you all need help and suggestions, i am always there to help cause i want a nice class tee. haha.
by the way, if the class tee is red, i could change the red words into white :)
maybe shall do a design on red later. :D

FEW THINGS TO SAY...
-Good to see the class blog is getting lifely(hope to be as lively as us)

-We can start to design the class tee now.definitely using computer,hoping to be in great help by Shi Nan (if possible too.)=)
-Colour wise we can do it after designing because of the colour scheme of the words and design.

hello people...
i want to ask for you people opinions about FBT jersey for next year class tees...
there is quite a lot of colour for the jersey like:
1) Mainly white and two strips of black
2) Mainly black and two strips of white
3) Mainly gray and two strips of limegreen
4) Mainly red and two strips of white
5) Mainly blue and two strips of white
i think that option 2 and option 3 is very nice for our class tees...
i hope that our class tees can look nice and simple..
