♥ hot title:Personal Recount as Mr Nicholas Fanyeong
I was cruising down along the long stretch of boring road as I hummed along the music that was playing on the radio, trying to keep myself from falling asleep.I was exhausted from the load of work and by now was dog-tired. This road has been my must-traveled road for ages, as long as I can remember. Thick cloud of dust and noxious fumes polluted the dust as a big truck paced past. Just by the stench of the pungent smell, it could cause me to cough furiously as I wind up the window.
I glided my car to a gentle halt as the traffic light turned bright red. Grabbing this opportunity to rest, I sip some water while thinking of having a relaxing bath. Just as I was deep in my thoughts, roaming my eyes around, a sight caught my attention. There was a huge crowd surrounding the Seletar Club road , some of them pointing while mouthing their words. When the moment I saw those gossipy aunties, curiosity rose upon me.It must be something so interesting that they could gossip about. I went over as I tried to catch a glimpse of it. I stared in horror as I peered more intently. Mangled wreck of a dark-blue car.....Blood stains..... This was all I could see while I jostled my way through the crowd. Oh my..... The front of the car was a mess of crumpled metal. The Mazda RX-8 turned topsy- turvy, into a gruesome mess. . The top of the metal of the car was teared apart and windows were shattered into smithereens. I cringed as I imagined how much I have to pay for the damaged and the injuries that had to be treated if I were the car owner. It must be causing me an arm and a leg! Anyway, grabbing the opportunity, I immediately took down a picture and sent it to the Strait Times portal STOMP so that people know the latest news about the accident. After that, I dialed for ambulance and went over to help the victims. As I neared them, a bloody smell wafted through my nose. I spun around and gasped in horror as a unsighted scene greeted me. The victims were groaning as they as tried to grasp hold of car's seat. One of them grimaced in agony, pain etched on his scarlet -red face as he tried desperately to get out of the car. Another guy, in his mid 30s, also went to help the victims. After that, as I'm exhausted, I went home without seeing the victims being sent away to hospital. I'm very proud that the next day my name was printed at the cover page of the newspaper and the picture that I've took. This would encouraged me to contribute more to the STOMP portal.I'm also very happy that the victims only suffer from minor injuries and was being treated at Changi General Hospital. From this incident, I hoped that youngsters(including the victims) would learn from this lesson and drive slowly and carefully. I also hoped not repeat are made the same mistake as when you made a mistake by driving carelessly, The "angel of death" may not forgive you. However, luckily for this group of young people, they narrowly escaped from death. Also, witnessing this incident have also made an impact on me to drive carefully and be alert at all times, which meant not to drive when I 'm feeling tired. So, I guessed this would be the last time I drove home while yawning continuously!
