Class Tees 2009: A more organised and efficient way
It is no secret that some of us are getting all enthusiastic again about the class tees. But once again, I've realised that this thing is not being organised and intelligently handled. Here are some points.
- The colour Red will easily comes off when washed
- Use the computer to design the class tee. I know, some of you people would like to show off your artistic talents by designing the class tee by hand and have a wonderous class tee. But unfortuantely, this is not the case. By designing by hand, the pictures will look unsightly. Computerised Art would be much more better and less a thorn to the eye. By the way, did you all see any class tees not computerised designed?
- The Class Tee Affair should be done in a organised manner. The person-in-charge bringing the design for printing must do this in an orderly manner. What do I mean by an orderly manner. Look:
Step 1 : Get the design print.
Step 2: Request ONLY 1 SHIRT TO BE PRINTED
Step 3 : Printed
Step 4: Show the class the sample tee
Step 5: Class Satisfied with the shirt
Step 6: Tell them the price of the shirt
Step 7: Class pays
Step 8: Person-in-charge to bring shirt back to the shop and continue with the mass production
In the cituation where the class is unhappy with the design when the sample tee is shown, the person in charge should bring back to the shop, amend any nessecary changes and print another sample tee. Show it to the class. Do this until the class is satisfied
- If the person-in-charge is responsible enough, he or she should not interfere with the design without the class('s) permission. It is very unfair for that person to add/ take away designs which he thinks that might be unsuitable for himself/herself personally. Any amendments should go through the authority of the teachers or student of the effective class. In the unfortuante event when this mistake is committed, the class has the right to reject the unsatisfactory goods and the person-in-charge will be solely responsible for this mess.
- Have a ''Design-Class-Tee'' competition. This competition is compulsory and for those who thinks that he/she cannot draw well or lack the ability to draw, he/she can pair up/group up with other classmates who are participating this competition. In any event when the effective student cannot participate in this competition, regardless of any unforseen circumstances, this will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This competition must, must be held, to have justice in designing the class tee as this is a class affair, not just a soley personate. Probably holding this event in a 2 or 3 day stretch, before coming a conclusion, a final for the best pieces. The best pieces will then be discussed again, for the result of the best design. the best design then, before becoming our class-tee design, may undergo some nessecary changes which are not exhausive or satisfactory enough, and this will proceed without the permission of the designer. Holding this competition will then be unbiased enough, to choose the best design for the tees, and also acts as a discovery to artistic talents in the class.
- The Financial Department should handle the accounts very carefully, and produce receipts or proof of purchase, palpably to the class, so that the class, can know the exact price of the tees. And this would definitely be fair to all of us.
-This Class Tee matter should involve the whole class as much as possible, for I repeat, is a class affair
- Eliminate any amatuerish designs/childish cartoons and replace the designs with a much mature style of drawings, for the shirt will then not be the stock of embarrasment when being shown to public.
- A sleeve shirt qulaity shirt would be good. Jersy, as mentioned early this year, cannot add a variety of colours and that will make our tees dile in colour. Pale green would be good. Black or White is simply a no-no. Pink is moderate, but I'm very sure that the boys and some girls in the class will have some opinions over this colour. Besides, we have already worn pink for this year, and it would be terrible to wear pink again, do you think so? Strinking colours like Orange or Yellow is good, though the colours must be reviewed again so as to prevent unnessecary attractors from the public, which may cause unsafety to the pupils of this class.
- Adding a class list at the back of the shirt is actually discouraged, unless it is truly justified that next year, there will be no new additions to the class.
I would, therefore, really hope that the Class Tee Commitee can be organised, intelligent and responsible enough to handle this matter. If the matter comes out haywired and iiresponsibled handled, I would be hesitant and even reluctant to purchase the tees. But first and foremost, Our Main Priority is not the Class Tees, but on the upcoming Final Term examinations.
